The National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska is pleased to announce the
55th Annual State Convention! We invite blind Nebraskans, families, friends,
and professionals to join us for a weekend of information, community, and
opportunity.

Thursday, April 30 through Sunday, May 3, 2026

Convention Highlights:

*	Breakout Sessions: Practical topics and tools for students, job
seekers, parents, seniors, and professionals
*	Exhibit Hall: Vendors, organizations, and resources supporting
independence, technology, and opportunity
*	General Sessions and Keynote Banquet: Dynamic speakers, affiliate
business, and an inspiring Saturday evening banquet
*	Networking Opportunities: Connect with Federation members and
partners from across Nebraska

Transportation:

*	A charter bus will be available from Omaha to Kearney, with a stop
in Lincoln (and possible additional stops west).
*	If you are not riding the charter bus but still need transportation,
indicate your pick-up city on the registration form. Transportation will be
arranged on an individual basis, and we will do our best to accommodate your
needs.

Our National Representative:
We are pleased to welcome Anil Lewis as our national representative for our
2026 convention.
Anil Lewis serves as the National Federation of the Blind's Executive
Director of Blindness Initiatives in Baltimore, Maryland. A longtime
advocate and leader in the disability rights movement, he is committed to
expanding opportunity and equality for blind people nationwide.

Scholarships: 
To help ensure everyone can participate, we are offering two scholarship
opportunities:

*	Gwendolyn M. Mangnall Convention Scholarship:
Provides financial assistance to help NFB of Nebraska members attend the
state convention.

*	NFB of Nebraska Academic Scholarship:
Available to students ranging from high school seniors through graduate
students.
