Hello everyone,

This is Leann (Doug's niece) the funeral will Friday 7/24/2026 at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island.  Visitation will be at 10 am with service to follow at 11 am.

Thank you all for your kind words of Doug, he will be missed dearly.

Thank you Linda and Monte for sharing the news about Doug. I was heartbroken to read the message. I had the sense that Doug really fought for another outcome. Jamie, thank you for your kind words as well. You captured Doug's personality well. Doug will definitely be missed. When there is any news about a funeral or memorial service please let us know.

This is sad news indeed. Doug had not been a member of our movement for long, but jumped right jumped right in and he was involved in the senior division and greater at large chapter. Doug was always in a good mood, he was friendly, kind and always willing to help out. He will definitely be missed. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. I just received a call from Monte Ekern informing me that Doug Peterson, a member of our affiliate and board member of our senior Division, passed away last night in the hospital in Omaha. Monte and his wife went to his home this morning and talked to Doug's brother-in-law, who was glad they came to find out about Doug. He will be greatly missed.
