<div dir="ltr">The National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska is pleased to<br><div class="gmail_quote">
announce the 2013 NFBN Scholarship Program and the immediate release<br>
of its application form. This scholarship program affords five<br>
finalists the opportunity to attend an all expense paid trip to the<br>
NFBN state convention in North Platte from October 24th through the<br>
27th and the chance to compete for one of five scholarships awarded by<br>
the state affiliate and various chapters and divisions within the NFB<br>
of Nebraska. The National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska will be<br>
awarding a $1000 scholarship. In addition, the National Federation of<br>
the Blind Lincoln and Omaha Chapters, along with the Nebraska<br>
Association of Blind Students, will be presenting scholarship awards.<br>
Anyone who has ever attended an NFBN convention will be proud to<br>
attest to its ability to be a positive, life changing experience.<br>
Any Nebraska student who is blind or visually impaired and who will be<br>
attending a post- secondary institution and is interested in securing<br>
an application for the 2013 NFBN Scholarship Program may obtain one by<br>

(4) Contact the NFBN Scholarship Chairman, Shane Buresh, or the NFBN<br>
State President, Amy Buresh, (see contact information at the bottom of<br>
this form) to notify him or her of your intention to apply for the<br>
scholarship. Following your conversation, request that either the<br>
president or chairman write a note to the scholarship committee on<br>
your behalf. Failure to complete this or any of the previously<br>
requested items in this process will disqualify your application and<br>
eliminate you from consideration.<br>

(5) Your completed application and attachments must be sent both<br>
electronically and through the U.S. mail. Please insure that your<br>
hardcopy materials are postmarked by September 20, 2013.<br>

NOTE: The first place winner will be awarded a scholarship in the<br>
amount of $1000 from the NFBN. The Omaha and Lincoln chapters of the<br>
NFBN, along with the Nebraska Association of Blind Students, will<br>
award four additional scholarships to the remaining finalists.<br>

In order to be considered for any of the scholarships, finalists are<br>
REQUIRED to attend an all expense paid trip to the National Federation<br>
of the Blind of Nebraska State Convention to be held in North Platte,<br>
NE on October 24-October 27, 2013.<br>
