I hope everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The next stop on our holiday celebration tour is the NFB-N Lincoln Chapter Christmas Party. The party will be held from 11AM to 2PM at Mazatln Mexican Restaurant at 211 N. 70th Street, just about a block North of 70th and “O” St.

Mazatln Mexican Restaurant is easily accessible by bus and is also right off of the MoPac bike trail. If you want to arrive in style in a chauffeured stretch city bus, the #44 “O” Street Shuttle may be your best choice. The #44 stops at 68th and “O” Street during the outbound phase of the route. You can walk east to 70th Street to cross “O” St.at the controlled intersection. To avoid having to cross “O” Street, you can ride the #44 to Southeast Community College and stay on the bus for the inbound phase of the route. When you get off at 68th and “O” St inbound, you will already be on the correct (North) side of “O” Street. For the bikers and walkers, the MoPac runs about 100 yards to the North of Mazatln. Where the MoPac crosses 70th Street, go South and Mazatln should be less than a block.

Please come join us for a rollicking good time. Bring some extra cash to buy your stocking stuffers because Audra will be selling Baker’s chocolates. Don’t forget that the Christmas party will be in lieu of a December meeting, so if you show up to St. Mark’s on December 19, don’t expect to find your Federation family there.

Thank you and stay warm,

Mark Coleman
