Come celebrate the 20th anniversary of the
National Federation of the Blind’s Human Services
division. Below is our agenda which demonstrates
our three dynamic presentations. Please know we
may have a few other guests surprise us! The
division meeting will be held on July 2nd in the
Suwannee meeting room #20. Meeting will begin at
2:00 pm. I am so excited about this year’s
convention and I look forward to seeing you
there! Please stop by our table in the exhibit hall – table C34.

2:10 pm Membership Introductions
2:25 pm Election for Secretary position – 1 year term
2:30 pm Presentation: "Giving Your Best in the Helping Professions”,
Including an exercise in Progressive Muscle
Relaxation followed by an interactive discussion.

3:15 pm: National Federation of the Blind 2016 scholarship winners

Learn about the training and the tasks the dogs
perform for veterans with PTSD

All individuals who pay membership dues of $5.00
will receive a raffle ticket for the gift card.
5:00 pm Adjournment
**I along with all the Board of Directors and
members thank the presenters who have taken time
to share their knowledge, skills, and
experiences with us. The professionals in our
division have a responsibility to share with our
cohorts and colleagues that blind parents have
the right and ability to raise children. Please
take the Parenting brochure and the “What is the
NFB” brochure with you located at the front of
the room. Thank you all for joining our division
and participating in the meeting!
