The below research participant solicitation is being provided for informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our research mission.



Are you a mother of a child with a developmental disability?



Children with developmental disabilities are at risk of being overweight and having other health problems. We want to learn more about these children and their families, and how to support them. For this study, a developmental disability can include autism, intellectual disability, or Down syndrome.



Are you interested in participating in a university study?



The University of Texas School of Social Work is conducting a study to learn more about the eating, physical activity, and health behaviors of your child and family, so we can create better ways to support the health of families like yours. As a participant you will receive up to $75 and tips on promoting health for you and your child.
