Research Title: Understanding tobacco use among adults with visual disabilities
Being conducted by: University of Nevada, Reno
Purpose of the Study
The purpose of the study is to understand the experiences of people who are blind or have low vision with smoking cigarettes. As part of this research, we hope to learn about facilitators and barriers to quitting smoking among people who are blind or have low vision. We hope a better understanding of tobacco use among people with visual disabilities will ultimately inform the design of tobacco cessation interventions for people who are blind or have low vision.
Role of the Participants and Anticipated Length of the Study
Anyone interested in participating will complete a short screening process. If eligible, they will participate in an approximately 60-min remote conversation about your history with cigarette use.
