<h2><b>Purpose of the Study</b></h2><br><br>
The purpose of this study is to understand the language preferences of
adults with visual impairments in the United States.<br><br>
Specific aims of the
study:

-The first aim of this study is to examine the preferences people with
visual impairments have with respect to identity-first and person-first
language.<br><br>
-The second aim of this study is to understand if language preferences
change across various age groups.<br><br>

<h2><b>Role of the Participants and Anticipated Length of the Study
</b></h2><br><br>
Participants who are interested and consent will complete an online
survey. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.<br><br>

<h2><b>Proposed Participant Compensation</b></h2><br><br>
Yes, Participants will have the opportunity to put their names in for a
drawing for a $25 gift card, following the Rowan University policies for
compensating study participants. Eight gift cards will be available.
Those who are interested in the incentive will be directed to a secondary
survey to collect their name and email address.<br><br>

<h2><b>Link or Instructions for Participants to Enter the Study
</b></h2><br><br>
You may participate in this study if you are a person with a visual
impairment who is 18 years of age or older and lives in the United
States. Your participation will require you to complete a survey that
will take approximately 15 minutes. This research study will take place
online using Qualtrics, which has built-in accessibility features.
Participants will have the opportunity to put their names in for a
drawing for a $25 gift card. <br><br>
