Subject: Re: iCC/SSPNJ-NFB Convention

Hi Joe,

Cheers to another successful NFB Convention!!!! We have put together the following email to distribute to NFBNJ Members, we also look forward to providing a blurb for your Spring edition and will send that over before the deadline.

Greetings NFBNJ Members!

Whether we had direct contact with you at an event or you attended an event we presented at, it was a pleasure connecting with you throughout the 2017 year! NFB Convention is always one of our favorite events to attend. We hope we provided a full understanding about what our programs have to offer, however if you have questions we would love the opportunity to discuss with you further.

iCanConnect and SSP-NJ are committed to collaborating and sharing the mission and resources of our programs to identify and meet the needs our unique population. We also see value in raising awareness about combined hearing and vision loss because we understand that the diagnosis can be overwhelming. Therefore, we want you to rest assured that if this something you experience in your lifetime we are here to support you!

Don’t hesitate to start the application process if you feel that one or both of our programs can benefit you. It is our goal to get you connected and thriving within the community. We have attached our applications. Please let us know if you need assistance during the application process.

We hope you enjoy this time with your family and friends and ring in 2018 with great expectations and endless possibilities!

Sincerely,

Carly Fredericks & Kathleen Spata

  Joe!

Thank you for your prompt response and that is a great solution, we would love the opportunity to have our information disseminated on your list-serv. We would also be interested in space in your spring issue of the Sounding Board. Kathleen and I will put this together and send over as soon as possible. Much appreciated! It's never a bad thing to have a packed agenda, glad to see you will have another successful year!

  All the best,

  Carly

    Greetings!
Yes, extremely busy time of the year trying to balance all the activities and agenda items as the organization grows.
The exhibit room is open for conventioneers to receive information, support and purchase items.
It is your table and you can do whatever is needed to provide the information you have to distribute.
The agenda is extremely packed and I had to delete two presentations in order to provide time needed for those on the agenda time for a proper presentation.
With this said, there is no room this year for a presentation. Last year, you were able to present and perhaps, next year could work.Solution:
Draft an email highlighting the goals, purposes and objectives of both programs.
I will distribute to all on the NFBNJ distribution list.
In addition, we could provide space in the spring issue of the Sounding Board. The deadline for articles is March 15, 2018.
Note: the agenda should be posted in the next two days on the state website at
    www.nfbnj.org

    Thanks for understanding.

    Hi Joe,

I just left you a voicemail, but I just figured I drop you a quick note in case this finds you sooner. I hope this email finds you well during your busy planning time. As always Kathleen and I are excited about the upcoming convention and hosting a vendor table for iCC/SSPNJ.

Unfortunately, we may not be able to have full representation at the table Thursday evening and I just want to make sure that we can leave the table set up as we have in the past for attendees to collect literature in our absence.

Also, I was hoping we may able to have a few minutes on the agenda to share our resources. We only need about 15 minutes, we know your schedule is packed so we don't to take too much time, but we are eager to share as we know many attendees may qualify even though they may not identify as being "Deaf-blind". We will be in attendance all day Friday, so any time you could squeeze us in would be greatly appreciated if that could be accommodated.

Again, all the best and we look forward to attending another wonderful year at the NFB convention!

    Sincerely,

    Carly
