Ever wish you could touch some of the wonders on display at museums so you
could really get an idea of what those treasures look like? Or perhaps
you’d enjoy a stroll through Philly’s famous Italian Market with a savvy
guide who explains the history and background of the tasty morsels of
cheese, pasta and other samples provided for you to taste?
Well, it’s easier than you might think. The Sports and Recreation Division
invites you and all other members of our National Federation of the Blind
of NJ to join in us in a special statewide conference call on the subject.
DATE: Wednesday, March 14, 2018
TIME: 8 pm EST (please dial in 10 minutes prior)
HOW: For this call only, use the Technology Division conference call number
515-604-9570 <(515)%20604-9570> and the access code 612068 followed by the
pound sign.
Please join us as special guest Trish Maunder of Philly Touch Tours
explains all the events Philly Touch Tour offers and how you can
participate. Trish is an accessible program designer and Consultant for
museums and art institutions. She is the founder and Creative Director of
Philly Touch Tours, a company that promotes Inclusion and accommodations
for people with vision loss in Philadelphia and the surrounding area’s
cultural life through carefully designed sensory programs and tours.
PTT also conducts sensitivity training and experiential workshops for
museum staff, museum and art education students, artists and teachers.
Trish has a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of
Winchester, UK and a Master of Arts Degree in Art Education from the
University of the Arts, Philadelphia. (2006).
There will be ample opportunity for call participants to ask questions.
