Subject: NFBNJ call to action: Access Technology Affordability Act
cosponsorship

****

Greetings, my fellow New Jersey Federationists,

Our national Governmental Affairs Director John Pare sent out a legislative
alert concerning the Access Technology Affordability Act. In that notice, he
listed the current cosponsors of HR1734 in the House of Representatives and
S732 in the Senate. To make a long story short, none of these cosponsors are
from the Garden State. I am strongly urging all of us in NFBNJ to call your
member of the House and both Senators Booker and Menendez and ask them to
sign onto this legislation. To reach them, you can call the Capitol
Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 or their individual office numbers if you
already know them.

****

This bill would allow a blind person to receive a tax credit of up to $2,500
over a three-year period when purchasing access technology, and NFB is
making a push to get it passed, so please make the calls!

Thanks and take care,

   Ryan
