Division 3rd Annual October Step Challenge and Preparation Conference call
set for Wednesday, September 25 at 8:00 pm

Joe:

Please send the following invitation to the NFBNJ distribution list for all
to participate in our 3rd Annual Step Challenge Preparation Conference Call
being held on Wednesday, September 25 at 8:00 pm? During this conference
call we will explain the step challenge, how and when they can register and
conclude with a question and answer session; details listed below:

*Up for a Challenge?*

October is traditionally ???Meet the Blind Month???. For the 3rd year, the
NFBNJ Sports and Recreation Division is offering a unique way for all in
our affiliate (family and friends, too!) to get out and about and
demonstrate to the public that we live the lives we want. And a secondary
benefit will be personal wellness and increased fitness.

You are invited to participate in this year???s 3rd Annual Step Challenge
sponsored by the NFBNJ Sports & Recreation Division which will run from
October 1 through October 31; a perfect time to get outdoors and get
moving. The days usually are cooler, and you can feel more energetic as you
keep track of your daily steps.

Again, we are using the honor system ??? you keep track of your own daily
steps recorded on a fitness app or other device. You can walk indoors (like
at a shopping center) or outdoors. Use your white cane or guide dog and let
the people around you see a blind person on the move! We???re asking each
participant to commit to completing at least 7,500 steps a day during the
month of October.

We???re holding a preparation conference call for everyone who is interested
in participating; see agenda and participation instructions below.

Cordially,
Linda Melendez, President
