Subject: NESF Rental Assistance (Essex County)

Emergency rental assistance
Fund available for residents in need of rent and utility assistance caused
by Covid-19. Up to 12 months of arrears and 6 months of future rental
payment available.

Available for all Essex County Residents
Eligibility requirements

   - One of more individuals in the home qualify for unemployment benefits
   or experienced a loss of income or financial hardship due in some way to
   Covid
   - Provide eviction notice or letter from landlord stating arrears
   - Provide proof that utilities are in the past due, shut off or in
   danger of shut off
   - Provide NJ Photo ID, Proof of residency, signed lease
   - Proof of income (pay stubs , unemployment, social security , etc...)
   - Provide a notarized letter stating how covid-19 affected your
   finances
