The Melendez family wishes all of you a happy and healthy new year.  As we
continue to do the work of the federation despite CoVid 19 and its
variants, thank you for doing your part in our efforts to achieve equality,
opportunity and security for the blind. Each one of us is making a
difference in what it means to be blind. Please feel free to share my
emails and information far and wide with other blind individuals, their
friends and family, support group members, and any associations you are

Washington Seminar News

This year’s Washington Seminar will be held Monday, February 7 through
Thursday, February 10, 2022 with the Great Gathering being held hybrid on
Monday, February 7 from 5:00 P.M. Eastern Time and adjourning promptly at
7:00 P.M.; stay tuned for additional details.


*The New Jersey Washington Seminar Team is going Virtual*

Due to the increased spread of CoVid 19 and its variants we will be
conducting all congressional and senate appointments virtually February 8
through February 10, again stay tuned for additional details.

2022 Town Hall via Zoom on the NFB Washington Seminar. John Pare, Executive
Director, Advocacy and Policy, NFB will share our Washington Seminar
history, Ryan Stevens, NFBNJ Legislative Director will explain all about
our legislative priorities and I will speak about the NFBNJ team.
