Our practice focuses on opening our meridian paths and energy circulation
in our body through stretching, tapping, breathing and meditation. Each
class will include warm-ups, stretching exercises to open our joints and
circulation, and deep breathing and energy meditation. The warm up and
stretching exercise will help us relax deeper during meditation. You will
lead you through the exercises and guide you through deep/mindful breathing

Middle Atlantic Blind Golf Association (MABGA) Spring General MeetingRequest

For those residing in Southern New Jersey or surrounding Philadelphia area
and interested in playing golf as a blind individual, you are in luck! The
Middle Atlantic Blind Golf Association (MABGA) has been allowing blind
individuals the opportunity to play the game of golf with a sighted
partner, called coaches, since 1948. MABGA will soon be starting its 2021
season in the next couple of weeks. This year’s golfing schedule will be
posted to the MABGA’s website very soon. Please join MABGA at their annual
Spring General Meeting taking place on Wednesday, March 31 at 10am via

Atlantic County Funding available for people with disabilities

Atlantic Center for Independent Living received funding through the CARES
ACT to respond to the needs of individuals with disabilities in Atlantic
County. These funds are specifically allotted to people who were
detrimentally affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and who do not have other
resources available to pay for the needed items. The guidelines allow ACIL
to provide financial assistance to individuals with disabilities who
without this help could not purchase needed items such as:

·     Adaptive Technology

·     Computers

·     Durable Medical Equipment

·     Educational assistance (such as a tutor to assist with improving a
student's grades)

·     Essential Household Supplies

·     Food

·     Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

·     Prescriptions


The program is effective from March 2021 to June 30th, 2021. Attached is an
application, brochure, and flyer that provides more information about the
program. Please share the material with anyone who you think will benefit.


All applicants must reside in Atlantic County and must be living with a
disability. If you have any questions or need assistance filling out the
application, please call us at 609-748-2253 extension 4. Funding is
limited. If you are interested in applying, time is of the essence.
