*The Internal Revenue Service has sent a letter to taxpayers that they can
choose to get mail from the IRS in an alternative format: Braille, large
print, audio or electronic format. To pick one of these formats, go to
www.irs.gov/accessible <http://www.irs.gov/accessible> or call
800.829.1040. Here's the letter: *

*You can elect to receive alternative media formats *
*Why you're receiving this letter*
You claimed the additional standard deduction for the blind on your Form
1040 or Form 1040-SR tax return within the last two tax years. The IRS is
pleased to inform you that beginning no later than January 31, 2022, you
may elect to receive future correspondence from us in Braille, large print,
audio or electronic formats.

If you don't want to receive future correspondence in one of these formats,
then you don't need to respond to this notice. Only respond if you want
future correspondence in Braille, large print, audio or electronic formats.

*What you need to do to request an alternative media format preference*
Do one of the following:

   - Complete Form 9000, Alternative Media Preference, available at
   www.irs.gov/accessible and include it with your tax return or mail it by
   itself to:
