DCR is looking for Summer Interns!
Join us in the fight for civil rights!
The New Jersey Division on Civil Rights (DCR) seeks highly motivated
individuals with a passion for protecting civil rights, to participate in
its Summer 2023 internship program. The internships will last a minimum of
eight weeks.

DCR’s Strategic Initiatives and Enforcement Unit has a team of attorneys
and a policy advisor who draft statutory amendments and regulations, issue
reports to raise the profile of civil rights issues, draft legal guidance
documents, and undertake Director-Initiated Investigations into possible
patterns and practices of discrimination.
Strategic Initiatives and Enforcement Unit Summer Race Equity Internship
The summer intern will work closely with Legal Specialists within DCR’s
Strategic Initiatives and Enforcement Unit who focus on proactively
addressing race discrimination. While the intern will primarily focus on
race discrimination, the intern may also have opportunities to work on
other civil rights issues, which may include health equity, disability, and
more.
