The Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired is pleased to announce
the second in a series of workshops, which are being presented as an
awareness and communications strategy that we hope will help consumers
attain a greater understanding of CBVI services and programs as well as
other resources that may help overcome barriers to personal security,
well-being and participation in all aspects of life.

*This workshop will feature:  *

*Father Jim Warnke, LCSW,* whose presentation will include information on how
to identify and establish healthy expectations and boundaries within a
relationship, advocating for independence and forming a positive support
system.

*Hudson County SPEAKS (Supports, Prevents, Educates, Advocates, to Keep
Strong): *Information on the comparison of healthy and toxic relationships
will be provided by a representative from this program that works to create
safer communities through the provision of services and programs for the
prevention of sexual violence while also providing assistance and support
to survivors age 13+.

Workshop participants will also receive an in depth introduction to
CBVI’s *Assistive
Support Programs for Independence, Renewal and Education (ASPIRE) Peer
Support Program*, and learn how it can assist with navigating difficult
discussions with your family, friends and others regarding adjustment to
vision loss and maintaining your independence with dignity.

*Guest Panelist: *

*Ivis Trejo,* Peer Support Counselor, Eye2Eye phone-based peer support
program and ASPIRE peer support program facilitator for Spanish speaking
individuals

*Tonya Hunt,* Founder of “We See Too” and Facilitator of an ASPIRE Group
that meets in Camden County and virtually

*Brittani Brendel*, Facilitator of an ASPIRE group for younger adults, age
21+
