As the winter chill sets in, what better way to stay warm and cozy than by
participating in our Winter Reading Challenge!


We're excited to announce the TBBC Chilly Chapters: Winter Reading Challenge
for adult patrons aged 18 and over. This engaging program will run for 8
weeks, from Monday, January 8, 2024, to Friday, March 1, 2024, and we're

Here's what you need to know:


Registration Period: You must register for the challenge by December 15,
2023. To register, simply call Liz Kelly at (800) 792-8322, extension 805,
or email her at lkelly at njstatelib.org. Plus, the first 50 patrons to
register will receive a special winter hat – a perfect accessory for the
season!


Challenge Details: Upon registration, you will receive a packet in the mail
containing the challenge rules, a list of books curated by our library
staff, and a Reading Log to help you keep track of the books you read. Or,
instead of keeping a Reading Log, you can contact Liz K by phone or email
about what books you have read! Materials in braille upon request.


Prize: Every person who registers for the challenge and reports reading at
least one book will be entered into the prize drawing for a chance to win
an Amazon Fire tablet. The five patrons who read the highest number of
books will receive three entries into the prize drawing. The grand prize is
a Fire HD 10 tablet, 10.1", 1080p Full HD, 32 GB, black, without lock
screen ads.


A big Thank You to the Friends of the Library, who have generously supplied
the hats and the Amazon Fire tablet!


How to Enter: You must first be registered! Then, submit your completed
Reading Log by March 1, 2024, to be eligible for the prize drawing. You can
submit your Reading Log through various methods:
·       Email: Send a photo or scan of your completed Reading Log to
lkelly at njstatelib.org or TBBC at njstatelib.org.
·       Email: Simply email a list of the books you've read to
lkelly at njstatelib.org or TBBC at njstatelib.org.
·       Mail: If you choose to mail in your reading log, make sure it's
postmarked by March 1st and includes a stamp. Don't forget to write your
name on it!
·       Phone: Call TBBC at 800-792-8322, extension 0, to provide a list of
books you've read to a Readers Advisor.


Winners Announcement: The prize winner will be contacted by email/phone,
and the results will also be announced in the Spring issue of our
Newsletter.
