Do you know that in 2023, 23.9 million people in the United States were
victims of identity theft and other scams that affected them financially?
This month’s conference call will open with an extremely important
explanation of consumer safety for elders and people with disabilities. A
representative from the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs will discuss how
their office can help you both avoid and combat the life altering
experiences of identity theft and being victimized by scammers.
*Keynote Presenter: Melanie Hazim, Director of Outreach, Division of
Consumer Affairs, NJ Office of the Attorney General*
The benefits of networking and sharing information are the primary focus of
the Community Connection Conference Calls. This month’s “In Our Own Voices”
panelists, all members of New Jersey’s blind and visually impaired
community, will share their stories.
