<DIV>The Blind Parents Division of the National Federation of the Blind
of</DIV>
<DIV>Colorado is excited to announce a seminar for blind parents. Join us
on</DIV>
<DIV>Saturday, August 23-24 at the Colorado Center for the Blind in
Littleton,</DIV>
<DIV>Colorado. This high energy, interactive, and informative seminar
offers</DIV>
<DIV>something for the whole family!</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>We will kick off Friday evening with a fun family bowling night, which
is</DIV>
<DIV>included in the cost of registration ($25 individual or $50 for
the</DIV>
<DIV>family). Saturday we will begin bright and early with a
continental</DIV>
<DIV>breakfast/social hour followed by general sessions. We are excited
to</DIV>
<DIV>announce that Melissa Riccobono will be our keynote speaker. In
the</DIV>
<DIV>afternoon, we have breakout sessions for parents of infants and
toddlers,</DIV>
<DIV>elementary school aged children, pre-teen and teens, and a special
track</DIV>
<DIV>for grandparents. We will also have youth track as well as nursery care
for</DIV>
<DIV>children three and under which is free of charge. After the seminar,
those</DIV>
<DIV>who are interested can head to Romano’s Pizzeria for great food and
fun.</DIV>
<DIV>Each family will be responsible for covering their own food cost.</DIV>

<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>We have a jam-packed agenda that include topics such as discussions of
our</DIV>
<DIV>legal rights, tools for self-advocacy, and resources provided by the
NFB.</DIV>
<DIV>We will cover everything from how to make baby food and measure
medicine
to</DIV>
<DIV>driving and applying for college. Grandparents will learn how to
stay</DIV>
<DIV>involved, connected, and share their rich history with their
grandchildren.</DIV>
