<DIV>I have some really good news concerning our legislative agenda. One of
the</DIV>
<DIV>items we are advocating hard for this year is the Access
Technology</DIV>
<DIV>Affordability Act (HR 2086). This would provide blind individuals a
tax</DIV>
<DIV>credit up to $2,000 when they purchase adaptive hardware and software.
This</DIV>
<DIV>would help offset the cost and allow blind people to acquire the
technology</DIV>
<DIV>they need faster and more independently. The good news is that we have
our</DIV>
<DIV>first cosponsor of this bill from New Jersey, namely Bill
Pascrell.</DIV>

<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>To those who are in Congressman Pascrell's district, please call his
office</DIV>
<DIV>and strongly thank him for his cosponsorship of this legislation. The
rest</DIV>
<DIV>of us need to reach out to our specific House member and encourage him

<DIV>her to sign onto the bill as well. When you do, let them know
about</DIV>
<DIV>Congressman Pascrell. If they know that a member of the New
Jersey</DIV>
<DIV>delegation is supporting this bill, they are much more likely to
follow</DIV>
