Jersey's Blind Refused to Be Collateral Damage (HTML)</a></p><p class="gmail-isSelectedEnd"><font face="tahoma, sans-serif" size="4">Titled <strong>\u201cNew Jersey\u2019s Blind Refused to Be Collateral Damage,\u201d</strong> this piece tells the story of how our affiliate responded swiftly and decisively to a serious threat to blindness services within our state. When a proposed directive risked destabilizing the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CBVI) by forcing the resignation of critical staff, we acted immediately.</font></p><p class="gmail-isSelectedEnd"><font face="tahoma, sans-serif" size="4">Within hours, we organized. Within days, we mobilized. Through coordinated advocacy, formal resolution, and unified action, we secured the rescission of the directive, protecting essential services that blind New Jerseyans rely on for independence, education, and employment.</font></p><p class="gmail-isSelectedEnd"><font face="tahoma, sans-serif" size="4">This article is not just a recap of events\u2014it is a testament to what organized blind people can accomplish when we act with urgency, clarity, and unity.</font></p><p class="gmail-isSelectedEnd"><font face="tahoma, sans-serif" size="4">We encourage you to read and share this article widely.
