[Nfbo-announce] Farewell to a Federationist

The following is from President McQuillan.


I am sorry to tell you all of the passing of a long time member of the NFB
of Oregon, Larry Morse.

Larry was the husband of the Affiliate's 2nd Vice President, Christine
Morse.  Christine has been a member of the NFB of Oregon since 1993, and
Larry was an active member for nearly as long.  Larry attended all state
gatherings and many National Conventions over the years.  He did a lot of
behind the scenes work that benefited the local chapter, the state
affiliate, and the National Organization.  He will be missed.

The family would like to ask that donations made in memory of Larry be sent
to the National Federation of the Blind of Oregon.  Larry would want us to
celebrate his life by supporting the organization in which he was so
involved.

Larry passed away last Tuesday, May 2nd, due to cancer.  His funeral will be
held in Astoria on May 16th.  There will also be a Celebration of Life in
McMinnville on June 1st.  Please extend your thoughts and prayers to Chris,
her daughter Ginger, and granddaughter Cheyanne.
