Dear Robert,
I was hoping you'd take the lead on this idea.  Thanks for the information.  Powerland looks very interesting, but it seems like an all day event and I don't really have time for that on the 21st.  I vote for the closer Shedd trip.  It looks like we can arrange for a tour and have our picnic.

     Here is what I have so far about two possibilities for a trip. Shedd is a few miles south of Albany. Brooks is north of Salem.
