[NFBO-Linn-benton] date for next Dark Cafe

We have looked at many alternatives, and Friday, Oct 20 is presently not only the best alternative but more or less the only alternative unless we are willing to postpone till mid-November or later. The weekend of Oct 20-21 avoids football games, and Oct 21 is actually the ideal date. But Valley Caterers cannot do it, and I have found no other recognized caterer who can do it at an acceptable cost. So really the choice comes down to:
*Friday, Oct 20 with Valley catering
*Saturday, Oct 21 if somebody can find an acceptable cater, considering price, quality, and ability to serve 50 or so people. Best I have found is a restaurant and a sub-par meal at a higher price than Valley. Forks and Corks can do it but wants $70/plate!
*November 11 has no local football game. Don’t know about Valley’s schedule for that day though.
*Some time in December

Otherwise there is a football game, Thanksgiving, Civil War game…

If we do it on Oct 20 Carolyn and I can organize the table setup. We can find a couple of grandchildren and a couple of friends to get it set up. If we can get some help from our local NFB members to set up the various rooms, I think it would work for Lori and her volunteers to arrive between 5:30 and 6:00. Not what we would want, but maybe the best we can do??

Also, Lori, if we do it on 10/20, would the problem be that your friends would not be available during the day for set up?  Could we set up the night before if we have to go with 10/20?
