[NFBO-Linn-benton] checking in on details for Open Streets

Hi All,,

It looks like I’m missing my pitcher. Can someone else bring a plastic pitcher to complete the second liquid level indicator setup? It would be best if the pitcher has an adjustable top for pouring. Thank you,

Sally.

Directions to Lily Park- Head south on 3rd street into south town and take a left onto Crystal Lake Drive, follow that until you take a right onto Bethel St, then follow that until Atwood St and Lily Park is the next right. Once we get into the Park we will look for Charlin Ellis who will direct us where to setup- There should be an information booth there on the east side of the park

Thanks Sally. Things are coming together. Today Carolyn and I bought 25 four foot garden stakes to support the maze tapes that are supposed to be supplied. The cost was less than a hamburger in Las Vegas.

I did some experimenting and found them non-trivial to pound into the ground, though it will be easier if I can find my sledge hammer. But after some experimentation, I took my portable drill out with a one inch hole saw and bored a wonderful one inch hole that the stakes pound easily into. It was too shallow so I attached the drill to a 12 inch extension and can now drill a one inch hole in the earth halfway to China. I will have it on Sunday with an extra battery just in case. I think we can get that maze set up in record time. I will have a stapler to attach the ribbon to the stakes, but I think I’ll bring some strapping tape too. Probably easier and more secure than staples.

  John

    Hello Group,

I do not have a liquid level indicator to bring to the event. Did Carolyn and John offer to bring their picher, mug, tray and indicator at the last meeting? If not, does someone else have one we could use so that we can have 2 water setups? If needed I can bring a setup except for the indicator.
