Hello All,

 

There's a lot of NFB things for you to sign up for right now!  First, make
sure you register for the Salem Seminar with the oregon office for our March
9-11 legislative seminar and visit with lawmakers at the Capitol.  Email
Carla McQuillan at president at nfb-oregon.org

 

Next, if you would like to apply for financial assistance to attend National
convention being held from July 7-12 in Las Vegas, send a letter to Carla
McQuillan at president at nfb-oregon.org

for state assistance and apply for a Jernigan Fund scholarship at nfb.org
for National assistance if you have never been to a National Convention
before.  You are required to seek a Jernigan Fund scholarship prior to
getting state assistance if you are a first time attendee.

 

Next, get your room reservation in at Mandolay Bay in Las Vegas now.  The
rooms go quickly.  Information for reserving is below:

 

 

Hotel Reservations

Room reservations at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino can be made starting
January 1, 2019.

Please call the hotel at 877-632-9001 to book your room. The hotel will take
a deposit of the first night's room rate for each room and will require a
credit card or a personal check. If you use a credit card, the deposit will
be charged against your card immediately. If a reservation is cancelled
before Saturday, June 1, 2019, half of the deposit will be returned.
Otherwise, refunds will not be made.

For NFB convention attendees, the nightly rate for singles, doubles,
triples, and quads is $99. Hotel taxes are 13.38 percent and sales tax is
8.25 percent. The resort fee, normally $37 a night, is waived for NFB
convention attendees. However, fees for internet access, local and toll-free
calls, and fitness center access might apply.
