Hello All:

If you could, please provide Erin with the following feedback on Dax. Nova
Dynamics is interest in gathering feedback from blind individuals on their
potential preferences. While we had a great dialogue on Monday, I had hoped
we could have more conversation around the goals of discussing and providing
feedback around Dax and his behavior. I think it would be great to send over
ideas and then have Erin and Dax return to maybe try some of the things out.

Dax Feedback:

*	What should Dax do if he is moving towards you in the opposite
direction? (move off the sidewalk, continue and maneuver around, etc.)
*	How should Dax behave at a crosswalk you are at or approaching?
*	Would sound be helpful as Dax nears you and if so, consistent noise,
just once, at what distance, etc.
*	As a blind person, what ideas do you have that Dax could potentially
help with? (delivery of food, medication, etc.)

Please send any information to Erin at: eburt at novadynamics.com

I can't remember if I included my experience with Dax. We did some test runs
on campus with me and Annie as well as me and a white cane. Personally, Dax
was able to maneuver just fine around me as I moved towards him with both
methods. I would be curious with cane travelers who veer more when walking
or have a pretty wide arc and helping Dax know what to do for those
situations. I did find some value in having Dax stop and allow me to treat
it as a stationary obstacle to maneuver around as well though.

Thanks everyone!

Sincerely,

Natalie
