Hello all, well Carolyn and I absolutely spaced out yesterday and remember
the meeting way after it was over. We don't even have an excuse. Except for
excuses about being busy. that all of us have.

 

Sorry, we'll try to do better. Our report on the national convention is that
we spent nearly every waking moment either in the session or getting
feedback on the "low fidelity prototype" for the NSF grant that ViewPlus is
part of. If we get phase II funding, this NSF project could make a huge
improvement in information (especially graphics) accessibility. We spent an
hour or more with ten people who are leaders in the field and were pleased
by their enthusiasm about this project. Hope that means we'll get Phase II
but we will not know until December.

Following up on our Chapter Meeting discussion last night, Natalie found the
email about state convention!  Here is the info

 

I hope you are doing well and enjoying the summer sun.

 

We will be holding our State Convention the weekend of October 6-8 at the
Hilton Garden Inn in Springfield/Eugene.  Please save the date!  More
information about reserving a hotel room and convention registration will be
coming in the next few months.
