Hello All,

In follow up to a discussion from our Chapter meeting last night, please
know that I will submit an application to Benton County to be on their
re-formed transportation advisory committee. In addition to that, we
received the following information from Grant Livingston who joined us for a
Chapter Meeting some months ago:

I followed up with City staff about formalizing a relationship between the
City and the NFB. There is already an existing avenue for the NFB to get
involved; it is called the Multi-modal Operational committee, see link
below. I don't know much about this committee, but I was notified that the
NFB would be welcome to participate. I understand that the Transportation
Division will be seeking to get more feedback from this committee in the
future. As a side note, the City has a relatively new Transportation
Division Manager, Rory Rowan, and he has expressed a great interest in
addressing safety issues in the City, especially related to ADA.

A good amount of our discussion at the NFB meeting was around specific
issues at specific locations around the City. The best way to get these
problems into the hands of the appropriate people to address them is to use
the Report a Problem system at the link below. You can also call Public
Works at 541-766-6916, and let the administrative staff that you would like
to report a problem.

I hope this is helpful for you.

Let me know if there are any questions.

Grant

If any Chapter member wants to become an NFB contact for the Multi-Modal
committee, please let me know.

Thanks to all who participated in our lively and fun meeting last night!!!
