[NFBO-Linn-benton] Update from the City of Albany

Exciting news from the City of Albany.

I spoke with Staci who is the City Engineer on Friday and she let me know the exciting news.

The City of Albany has approved a $150,000 annual budget for ADA improvements in the right of way.

This will mean more audible signals and as they redo curb cuts to meet ADA standards, yellow tactile markers will be installed.  This also means that as work is done on the right of way in residential areas, the existing mailbox trees will be looked into making them accessible.  

The City Engineer said her work on this project was the most rewarding thing she has ever done and all those who helped male the City of Albany more accessible should be proud.
