[NFBO-Linn-benton] A successful Dark Cafe!

Hi All,

It will take a while to compile a full report on the profit made from the Dark Café.  It will, it looks like, take even longer to collect from OSU.  Here are the reasons why:

We are using several methods to collect funds.  You heard about some of the OSU sponsorships and their red tape.  We also collected through the State Affiliate’s credit card system.  Some payments might still go through that system for the wine.  We are working on collecting the final wine donations as we speak.  Some checks are being mailed and I am depositing some cash and Venmo payments today.  So, there’s a lot of little details which are still coming through.  Andrea, let’s talk on a separate stream about a method that might make sense to track all of these moving parts, ok?  I think we could convert a spread sheet that Kirk was using for ticket sales and donations very easily for treasurer reporting purposes.

Andrea, the OSU Colleges have not paid yet. They turned in requests, and Carolyn and I filled out a stupid vendor form, but still not received. I am afraid that this is SOP for OSU, not just to us. They will pay eventually though.

I would like to make a full report on the event.

What came in from sponsors, general ticket sales, auction, donations, etc and what expenses we had.   This will be good information going forward and i feel like it is a treasurers type report…. So any information i would love to have.

              Hello everyone,

Although we won’t have the final tally on how much money we raised yet, we do know that our guests left the Luau with bright smiles on their faces!  Thanks to everyone who contributed to this  event – you all did an amazing job with it!  A special thanks to Sally Utt, who was indispensable in organizational and planning efforts!  Congrats to all for a very fine and fun Dark Café!
