Hi all,

I am not going to be able to make it to John & Carolyn’s party (Happy Anniversary John & Carolyn!!). But I can be the driver for the trip to Portland. My van is no longer travel-worthy (needs new wheel bearings) but if Kristen’s car can go to Portland, I can drive it.

At our last Chapter meeting we decided to cancel our next meeting and participate in the busy weekend on August 23 and 24.  

On Saturday the 23rd, John and Carolyn are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in Bay Shore, Oregon.  They have arranged for a bus to go.  Please RSVP to them if you are attending the party and let them know if you would lik to reserve a space on the bus.

 

On Sunday the 24th, the Rose City Chapter is holding a Trivia Night.  Two folks have definitely committed to going.  Other have expressed an interest, but those folks have not coalesced into a viable travel party yet.  If you are interested in going on Saturday the 24th and either have a transportation option to offer or would like to team up with others on public transportation to go to Portland together, please email me on this list or at kjocums at icloud.com <mailto:kjocums at icloud.com> .  I do have a vehicle that can take several people, but we do not have a driver at this point.
