Thanks for sharing Kristen and it’s important to note also this also wouldn’t be possible without the efforts of our own Shawn Doran as well!

Subject: [NFBO-Linn-benton] FW: OSMI Independence Science outreach event

Our very own Ashley Neybert will be leading the following innovative event next weekend! Spread the news!

Independence Science is proud to announce we will be conducting some accessible science activities as part of the 2025 Oregon Science Festival being held at the Oregon Museum of Science and industry (OMSI) on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14. The activities will feature the APH Submersible Audio Light Sensor (SALS) and learn about magnetic fields using a magnet developed by the American Chemical Society. Our demo table location will be in the lobby of the OMSI near the main entrance. For anyone that would like to attend this wonderful event, we can share a discount code for tickets purchased on-line at the OMSI website: www.omsi.edu<http://www.omsi.edu>. This code is also valid for tickets purchased in-person on the day of the event. This will give you access to the vendor area and the OMSI museum.

Please be sure to enter the code: OSFVEND2025.

Learn about how to perform accessible science activities for students with blindness and low vision. We hope to see you there!
