Hi Ashley,

I  am unfortunately not able to come this afternoon.  However, I  just want you to know how cool I  think it is that you are engaged in this competition!  I'm not sure everyone appreciates how forward-looking you are in your approach to advocacy.  It's not always about large campaigns and glitz and glitter - it's about "drops" of information and impacting one heart and mind at a time.  Your friends in the Chapter support you with love and thoughts while you continue to make life better for blind people.  Best of luck this afternoon!

Hi everyone,
I'm in the finals for the 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition. This is a competition where researchers share their dissertation work in 3 minute or less lightening talks in a dramatized and daily language friendly way. I couldn't have made it without you all as your stories are what my dissertation is based on so the further I get in this competition the more people will know about the difficulties blind people face in STEM so we can raise awareness! I would appreciate it if you helped me raise this awareness by attending on Wednesday February 4th from 4-5:30pm at Oregon State Memorial Union (MU) Journey Room (104).
