Our testing program is a critical part of the NFB-Redbox settlement agreement implementation. If you are interested in having your affiliate participate, I ask that by September 17 you send to Valerie Yingling at <a href="mailto:vyingling@nfb.org">vyingling@nfb.org</a> the name and contact information for one member who will serve as your affiliate’s tester. This tester will be expected to conduct the following tasks: <o:p></o:p></p><ul style='margin-top:0in' type=disc><li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3'>Assess three remediated Redbox kiosks for accessibility, including the ability to nonvisually browse, rent, pay for, retrieve, and return media. (Testers will need to bring with them a set of headphones and a credit or debit card to use for each rental and will incur a charge of $1.75 to $3.00 per rental.) <o:p></o:p></li><li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3'>Complete an online report following each kiosk test. A copy of this report is attached for the purpose of identifying someone who can successfully perform the tests. <o:p></o:p></li></ul><p class=MsoNormal> <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Soon, Valerie will forward to each of you a list of the currently remediated Redbox kiosks in your state so that you can select a tester who lives or works near the kiosks.
