Good morning!  It is once again time for another exciting National
Federation of the Blind of Ohio Springfield Chapter meeting. The agenda for
our May 2021 meeting and the Zoom invite information is included below. We
look forward to seeing everyone there.

6. NFB-Springfield transportation policy: (members received the policy as
an email from President Baker on, May 12).



7. Information from May 3, 2021, Presidential Release:




   -  May 20, 2021 Global Accessibility Awareness Day

   - All money donated to NFB during the week of May 16-23 up to $25,000.00
   will be matched by Deque Systems and an anonymous donor. Deque Systems and
   the anonymous donors will even match donations that count towards the
   Convention Give20 Campaign.

   - Discussion of the National Telecommuting Institute (NTI) denying
   applications from Blind applicants. Those who have had applications denied
   because of their use of screen access software, or those who use screen
   access software and would be interested in applying for home-based customer
   support jobs, should contact Contact Valerie Yingling at
   vyingling at nfb.org <technology.vyingling at nfb.org>

   - Discussion of a new NFB pilot project to create an internet radio
   station to promote audio content from National's website. If interested,
   contact nfbcommunicationsteam at nfb.org

   - Information regarding Zoom calls scheduled for May 23, 2021, and June
   6, 2021, at 8:00 P.M.  These calls will provide updates about the
   Survivors’ Task Force.

   - June 15, 2021, is the deadline to sign up with nfb.org/rookie to
   receive information about the upcoming Rookie Roundup in preparation for
   National Convention.

8.  Information regarding the NFB of Ohio's efforts to assist the Ohio
State School for the BLind (OSSB) in restoring tactile models. All
donations should be made to the NFB of Ohio. The NF of Ohio will match all
donations made through July 1, 2021. You can donate via Check, Zelle, por
PayPal. To donate electronically via PayPal or Zelle make the donation to
treasurer at nfbohio.org   To donate via check, send checks payable to NFB of
Ohio to NFB of Ohio, Todd Elzey, Treasurer, 3779 Waterbury Dr., Dayton, OH
