[NFBO-Springfield] December meeting minutes

Hello Springfield chapter,

Attached and pasted below are the minutes for last month’s meeting. A couple things before we get to that though.
First, if you have any trouble with these minutes, be that related to items they contain or your ability to read them, please reach out to me as soon as possible. Waiting until the meeting only delays resolution and won’t allow me to make the changes I need to for everyone.
Second, I will not be at Saturday’s meeting, due to a course that I am attending. That being said, I will be back in February, and am happy to help format any minutes taken at the meeting.
Now, on to the good stuff!

Meeting Minutes
Date: December 17, 2022
Location: Gayer Room of the Clarke County Public Library

Those Present

  *   Susan day, presiding as Debbie was unable to make the meeting
  *   Dan O’Keefe
  *   Mark Hipple
  *   Joe Jeffrey
  *   Aleeha Dudley
  *   Kellie Prescott
  *   Arlie Ray
  *   Gina Ray
  *   Pat Banaszak
  *   Dave Banaszak

Pledges and Reports

  *   The NFB pledge and one minute branding message were read.
  *   The Secretary’s report was read aloud due to font issues with the document which was sent to the email list. Susan moved, and Kellie seconded, to accept the minutes as read. The motion passed.
  *   The Treasurer’s report was read. An updated total was provided for income from the Mother Stuart event. Thank you notes have been sent to all those who donated. Kellie moved, and Aleeha seconded, to approve the Treasurer’s report as read. The motion passed.

Updates

  *   The blind parents’ rights  bill has passed the state House and is waiting to pass the Senate. It is expected to do so and be signed into law soon.
  *   An update was given on items needed for project woman. Aleeha will send an email to the list with the information.
  *   An update on the NFBNet email list was given. Please reach out to Aleeha if you are not yet subscribed, and she will contact David Andrews to have you added.

Presidential Release

  *   The chapter version of the December presidential release was played.

Our next meeting is January 21, 2023 at 1:15 PM in the Gayer room.
The Meeting was adjourned.
