Meeting Minutes June 27, 2026

Attendance

Arlie, Gina, Aleeha, Mickie, Debbie.

Guests were Marcilina Kilby and Steve and Lola Walston. Guests dictated
their contact information to Gina at the close of the meeting.

The meeting was called to order at 10:07. The April 11, 2026 minutes were
posted and Gina offered a correction. Ms Kilby's first name is Marcelina,
not Farcelina. Motion: Mickie/Aleeha, minutes passed with the correction.

Gina presented the treasurer's report for both April and May. The April
beginning balance was $1,626.42. The ending for April was $1606.42. The
ending balance for May was $1,403.78. Therefore, the beginning balance for
June was $1,403.78. The ending balance for June, after Dine to Donate profit
and expenses was $1,704.78. We cleared $321 for Dine to Donate before
expenses. Motion: Mickie/Aleeha to accept the treasurer's report as
presented.

Unfinished Business

We discussed several scenarios about future Dine to Donate fundraisers and
suggestions for perhaps how often these events should occur. Motion:
Mickie/Aleeha, to offer Dine to Donate opportunities quarterly, and of
course to advertise the opportunities and to continue other fundraising
efforts. Gina said that Frickers is willing to donate a basket of various
meats within 15 minutes of an in-person request to pick up the basket. We
can also pursue donated baskets from Bona Fido and Studio B.

New Business

Arlie shared the information from his June 14 NFB-O chapter and division
presidents' call. Registration for our November 5-8 convention is now open.
In fact, both convention registration and hotel registration are open.We
will stay at the University of Dayton Marriott, 1414 S. Patterson Blvd. The
hotel phone is (800) 627-7468. President Payne shared that those interested
can travel on Brown Street and collect donations from Area businesses for
NFB Ohio as donations for the affiliate, for chapters and divisions. Members
can enjoy fellowship at the near-by bowling lanes and bowl as a fundraiser
for NFB-O. Hotel personnel will shuttle bowlers to and from the lanes.
Guests who enjoy amenities in the convention hospitality room must vacate
that room by 11:30 each evening. Local TV and radio stations will also
receive a Public Service Announcement (PSA) that they will play to advertise
about the NFB. The PSA will also include a request for listeners'
donations.

Arlie shared information about the leadership conference for NFB-O that he
attended. The gist of our chapter discussion of the conference was that
NFB-O leaders who attended the conference are sharing controversy among
their chapter or division members about whether or not to include treasury
balances, beginning and ending, in the minutes that are archived on our
NFB-net lists. Our ultimate conclusion as the Springfield chapter is that
the most workable solution would be that National should encrypt all NFB-net
lists.

Aleeha shared that she will attend national convention this year in Austin,
Texas. She will arrive on July 3rd and return home on the 7th. Debbie shared
that Paul England will have surgery to remove large, painful kidney stones
on July 7th. Our next meeting will be on Saturday, July 11, 10:00 a.m. at
United Senior Services, Springfield. Motion: Mickie/Aleeha, to adjourn.

Respectfully submitted,

Debbie Baker, Secretary
