Greetings to All,

Tomorrow, August 3, is the day that all Alaskans who prefer may apply to
receive an online absentee ballot delivery for voting in the August 18
primary election. . is necessary to fill out and application to receive an
online ballot. I was told that you need a "Driver's license," which, of
course, translates into an ID card. This may mean that you will have to
write in your ID number, so I suggest that anyone who is interested get the
number written down before attempting to fill out the application. I will
have filled out the application by the end of the day tomorrow and will let
everyone know how it goes. Here is the link to the application page.

https://www.elections.alaska.gov/Core/votingbyonline.php

Here is what I copied from the page about acquiring an absentee ballot:

". Alaska is a no excuse absentee voting state. Anyone may apply to receive
an absentee ballot by online delivery.

. You may apply for an online delivery ballot for the August 18, 2020
Primary Election and the November 3, 2020 General Election beginning 15 days
prior

to each election.

. The Electronic Transmission Absentee Ballot Application will be posted to
this webpage for the August Primary Election beginning at 8:00 a.m. on
August

3, 2020 and for the November General Election beginning at 8:00 a.m. on
October 19, 2020."

* Voting an independent and secret ballot is vital for all and we
want to make sure that we the blind of Alaska and others with disabilities
can do so. The note says that "Anyone," can make such a request. Please fill
out the application form on August 3, so you can cast your ballot! If you
find it is not accessible, please email or call me. If you simply need help
with the application, please call or write me immediately.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
