Last month we joined folks from the Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Adults (CBVI) and the National Federation of the Blind of Alaska.  It was the day after the Primary Election and accessible voting and challenges related to this, was a large part of the conversation.   Nate Kile from the Center shared information on accessing technology.  

We did not get to the topic of sharing a challenge that our vision impairment interfered with and the strategy used to accomplish the task.  I would like to follow up with this topic and/or simply check in and hear how each of us is doing.

We are all welcome to continue joining theCBVI meetings the first 3 Wednesdays of each month.

The National Federation of the Blind Senior Division has a retreat October 18-24th. Topics include: cane travel (the NFB sends free white canes) Beginning Braille, Daily Living, Organizational Skills, Exploring Hobbies, Basic Information on iPhones and IOS devices, Meaningful Discussion on LIving with Blindness.

Registration is due by September 30th. Cost  $50.
