I will attend virtually although I'm not interested in a kid's movie
Christmas themed or not.

Subject: [NFBofAlaska] Movie sad News!

Hello All,

If you've heard that fraise, "What happens when you assume?" Well, that's
me. I assumed that I would find the movie that has been voted on most would
have an audio description version. I wasn't familiar with it and didn't
realize just how long ago it was produced, 1993. From what I know, there are
some older movies that audio description has been added to but those are
usually really famous and well known ones. Most of the audio description, I
believe, has been done in the past 20 years. So, I'm sorry to disappoint the
three of you who were so cool to recommend a movie. We are now down to two
movies, The Polar Express and Muppets Christmas Carrol. I will submit one
here: Pete's Dragon. Amazingly, there are two versions of it. One is from
1977, which is the one I watched as a college student. The other was
recently made in 2016, a remake.

So, we are now up to 3 movies again. I hope we will have many voting and
again, please let us know if you will be attending in person.

Another thought has come to me.

Perhaps watching a movie isn't what most would like. If you would rather
play games and chat, please make it be known! Hope to hear from many of you.

Warmly,

Bonnie

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
