Zoom!!! Topics are varied and listed below. If you are unaware, we meet as
members and friends from all over the entire state once a month and the more
participants that attend, the more we can support and encourage our blind
and low vision sisters and brothers in our state. Please continue reading

*      If you haven't heard of Washington Seminar, here is your opportunity
to learn about this important annual event. And this year is even more
remarkable because you can attend virtually! In fact, if you have ever
wanted to meet our members of congress, this is your opportunity. Come and
let us share this incredible information with you.

 

*      Some less pleasant, but very necessary matters of business will also
be discussed. Like many organizations currently, numerous individuals have
come forward to share heart wrenching details of sexual abuse and
inexcusable maltreatment throughout our organization. We must make sure that
all are aware and understand what actions are being taken. We also want all
to understand what to do in the event they experience trauma while
participating in the NFB or any of its training centers. Significant steps
are being taken to make the National Federation of the Blind an organization
that absolutely does not tolerate such abuse. 

 

*      Lastly, it is vital that we continue to raise money to support and
participate in the initiatives of our dynamic establishment. We need your
talents! Please come and share your thoughts as it is necessary to consider
new and innovative fund-raising techniques due to the Pandemic. We
appreciate your thoughts and creativity in the matter.
