Hello Friends,

This Saturday there will be a disability Pride Celebration. This has
happened for the past several years around the state in conjunction with the
signing of the ADA legislation passed on July 26, (my birthdate amazingly,
in 1990. The NFB has been invited to share a booth including information and
an activity the public can participate in. You are invited to come and share
experiences of how the ADA has empowered your life. We will be sharing a
Braille decoding activity with participants, and for anyone who would like,
you may come share information about how you live your life as a blind or
low vision person. If you are a Braille reader, we will have children's
books for reading as well. If you have an item that helps you in your life,
please bring it to share with the wider community.

Please let me know if you are planning on coming. I will send out the
location and information in the next couple of days.

Thank you.

Bonnie

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
