Hello Alaska NFB Affiliate Team,

I'm coordinating Rideshare Reports, a community project documenting
discrimination and accessibility barriers in rideshare services (Uber, Lyft,
and others)-especially incidents affecting blind and low-vision riders,
white cane users, and guide/service-dog handlers. Your members' reports help
identify patterns and push for better policies and training.

Report your experience (Google Form, ~3 minutes):
Open the Google Form:

Prefer email instead of a form?
Send details and screenshots to <mailto:RideshareReports at gmail.com>
RideshareReports at gmail.com. (Email is a good option if you don't want to
sign in to upload files.)

What to include (share as much as you have)

*	Date/time and city/area of the trip
*	Service used (Uber/Lyft/other)
*	Driver/vehicle info (name, car, plate, trip/confirmation #)
*	What happened (examples):

*	Driver did not announce arrival or did not assist when the rider had
difficulty locating the vehicle (wrong parking area/pickup point/door,
mismatched pin, etc.)
*	Refusal to transport a guide/service dog
*	Failure to accommodate a mobility device (wheelchair, scooter)
*	Curbside pass-by or cancellation upon seeing a cane/dog
*	Discriminatory or harassing remarks
*	Requests for extra payment to accommodate disability

*	Screenshot(s), if available

Privacy

You may submit anonymously. We won't share identifying details without
permission. Note: if you upload files inside the form, Google may record the
name/email tied to your account. If you prefer not to sign in, email
screenshots or paste a share link instead.

Why this matters

Consistent, documented reports help advocacy partners and policymakers see
the scope of the problem and hold companies accountable-so future riders
don't face the same barriers.

If possible, please share this with your members via email lists, chapter
meetings, newsletters, and social posts. I'm happy to provide periodic,
anonymized summaries back to ACB/NFB affiliates and other blindness
organizations.

Thank you for your support and leadership.
