Hello Everyone:
Note below that NC got a mention because I reached out with some legislative questions to National. Now let us get the recognition that really counts by getting appointments with our reps and senators and pushing for cosponsorships! We can do it.
Please let me know when your appointments are. This is what National has asked me to do. If you are having trouble getting appointments National might be able to help us in that regard. Also, please see Parnell Diggs email that I will send next.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Dear Colleagues,
I would be remiss if I did not publicly thank Hawaii, Louisiana, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wyoming for reaching out about scheduling appointments with their legislators. I am hearing that, in some cases, people are being told that their Congressman has a full calendar and just cannot find the time to meet during the August Recess. If this happens to you, feel free to visit the local office during business hours and drop off a fact sheet with a cover letter. When you have done this, please let us know.
Now that we have S. 2001 in the Senate, it is okay to speak with your Senators as well. Clearly, the TIME Act is gaining in momentum, and the balance is beginning to shift toward integrated and meaningful employment. Our task is to continue the progress. Keep those cards and letters coming, and thanks for all you do.
Sincerely,
Parnell Diggs, Esq.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
Make a gift to the National Federation of the Blind and help ensure all blind Americans live the lives they want
