She will be missed. I would like to pledge $100 to Rocky Bottom Camp of the
Blind for her, and I would hope that others would make pledges. It's the
least I can do because I have not made a lot of meeting because of my
singing on the same night. We will miss her.

LANCASTER - Mrs. Martha Nell Travis Robertson, 83, of Lancaster, widow of
Billy Joe Robertson, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at CMC-Main.
She was born Jan. 30, 1934, in Leonard, Texas, a daughter of the late Edward
Jefferson Travis and Goldie Lucas Travis.
Mrs. Robertson was family oriented and was a loving mother, grandmother,
sister and adopted mother and grandmother to many. She also loved the Lord
and was a dedicated member of New Life Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs.
Robertson had a passion for blind people and was a recipient of the state
wide Associate Member of the Year Award from the National Federation of the
Blind of South Carolina.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Robertson is at 2 p.m. Saturday,
Feb. 18, at New Life Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Douglas Pate, the
Rev. Mitch Ingram and the Rev. Dr. Steve Stewart officiating. Burial will be
private.
Mrs. Robertson is survived by a son, Mike Sutton and his wife, Jean, of
Columbia; two daughters, Charlene Easler and Tanya Robertson, both of Heath
Springs; a brother, Bud Travis of Lancaster; a sister, Kathy West and her
husband, Johnnie, of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Justin Easler, and his
wife, Meagan, Cole Easler, and his wife, Kasey, Olen Easler and Nikki
Easler; seven great-grandchildren, Chelsee, Awbree, Abbie, Colton and
Brayden Easler and Shyann and Mason Vinson. She was also Maw-Maw to Timmy,
Kenny and Josh, and MeMe to Kent, Matt, Makayla and Amber.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jayme Dean Easler; a sister, Jane
Jackson; and a great-grandchild, Levi Dean Easler.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at New
Life Freewill Baptist Church, 1622 Springdale Road, and other times at the
home of Kathy and Johnnie West, 3372 JB Denton Road.
Memorials may be made to Rocky Bottom Camp of the Blind, 119 S. Kilbourne
Road, Columbia, SC 29205.
Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs.
Robertson.
