Federation family,

As you know by now, the Community Service Division is putting on “Trivia Night”.

You also know that this event will take place on Thursday, July 13, in Pensacola ballroom h2 from 9 PM to midnight.

What you might not know is that this music based trivia event is a great opportunity for chapters such as yours to come together in friendly competition.

how the trivia competition works:

*	There are three categories with a set number of questions (Each question is actually a ten to fifteen second snippet of a song). In order for a team to answer the question correctly, they will need to have successfully identified the song.
*	Each song in a given category is worth one point, so if a team successfully identifies ten songs in a category, then they will have earned ten points. If a team then answers seven questions in the second category, they have earned seven points,, and twelve points in the third round for answering as many questions for a total of twenty-nine points.
*	categories will include “Song” (identify the name of the song), “Artist” (Identify the artist in the song), and “TV and Movie” (identify the name of the television show or movie that the song is most widely associated with).
*	Teams will have up to fifteen seconds to hear the song, thirty seconds to discuss their answer, and an additional thirty seconds to write down their response ( an extension of time may be granted at the discretion of our trivia night judges).

 What do you win?

Well, for one thing, you will get major bragging rights (and you should definitely brag, loudly *smile*), you will learn something new about a member of your chapter that you didn’t know before, and you’ll actually get a nice award for being the best at what you do,as awards will be given to the teams who place first, second and third.

  Other things:

*	This year we will offer a cash bar.
* Our judges are braille readers, so you will need to get your answer to them in braille.
*	We will provide the braille paper, and we will have some slates and styli for you to use, but if you have your own, even better.
*	If you would like to sign up ( not required, but helpful), you can do so here <http://www.nfbcommunityservice.org/2017_Trivia_Night> .
