Subject: [Nfbnet-members-list] Dear Blind Jobseekers

Dear Blind Jobseekers,

This is my last note to all of you before the convention. First of all, I
wanted to tell you that there will be limited Braille and large type
information at the Employment Committee events this year. That's because
everything has been uploaded to our website, https://employment.nfb.org/ .
Follow the Convention Events link on the website to links that lead to
seminar agendas, a list of Job Fair Employers, a great summary of how to
write an effective resume from Wells Fargo, and other information. Download
information onto your favorite device and bring it to the convention.
Since Job Fair pre-registration is now over, you will need to register
onsite in order to enter the Job Fair. No exceptions! We will do Job Fair
registration outside the Job Seeker Seminar from 12:30 to 4:00 pm, and
outside the Job Fair itself from 8:30 to 11:30 am. Come early so you don't
waste time in the registration line. You don't have to register for any of
the seminars.
Cool new stuff: the Etiquette Dinner is now full. We have added a
vegetarian option for those of you who wanted one. The Upward Mobility
Seminar is designed to help people break out of their employment rut and
advance into a better job. See the website for dates and times of events.
Byron Hardin is making a professional recording of the Job Seeker Seminar
which will be posted on the website later for those of you who are unable to
attend.
For those of you who were unable to attend the convention this year - save
your money for next year, and ask for help from your NFB state affiliate,
chapter, church, family, whoever. Conduct your own private fundraiser.
You're missing out on some good stuff this year.

Best wishes,
Dick Davis, Chair
NFB Employment Committee
